John Durban

John Durban

John Durban was born in Akron, Ohio in 1934 and started working in the family's supermarkets at a young age. After the family moved to Southern California, John worked in the new Durban Meats locations.

After high school, he joined Certified Grocers in 1956. Over time he became an important leader in product ordering and grew into a vice-president role.

Bill Durban

Bill Durban

Bill Durban also built his food career at Certified Grocers, helping create best practices and private label programs.

The Eritanos

Second Generation

Tommy Eritano

Tommy Eritano

Tommy and David carried on Uncle Tom's legacy in the meat market and distribution business, eventually becoming part of the broader Sysco story.

Monte Durban

Monte Durban

Monte Durban helped manage day-to-day operations and build relationships with customers including California Correctional Institution, Coco's Restaurants, and Hughes Markets.
